The Golden Globe Awards recognises excellence is both Film and Television from across the Globe. The Red Carpet gets just as much attention as the show itself!

The black tie affair encourages glamour and creativity. As a stylist it’s the perfect red carpet – you can take more of a risk that you would for say the Oscars but can still go to town with the glamour. You can wear anything from a gown to a jumpsuit to a two piece – and make sure you go for it with the jewellery.

In a normal fitting we’d have between 10-30 options to try, not forgetting shoes! I’ve put together a small selection of some great options for Emma Stone, Kate Winslet and Giuliana Rancic so let me know what you think!

E M M A S T O N E

In the past Emma has looked drop dead gorgeous at the globes wearing both Lanvin and Calvin. She has such a slick and polished style, she can pull off a girly dress and and a more tailored jumpsuit always looking flawless.

This year Emma is a favourite to win for her latest film ‘La La Land’, being a nominee calls for your outfit to be knocked up a peg or two. With this I feel these five options would be perfect!

The Valentino dress has a flirty silhouette yet keeps the look strong with the with the mix of red shades and the strong neckline drawing attention to the shoulders- this would look super cool with Emma’s hair length!

The pink Reem Acra and Oscar De La Renta gowns both have more of an old Hollywood vibe – both great for a young nominee. However my two favourite looks for Emma are the the ultra sexy yet still covered enough to be classy Reem Acra gown, and the playful yet super glam Gucci number.

The Gucci tips it for me and I think Emma is the ultimate Gucci Girl! Pair it with a strong bold heel, keep the jewellery minimal and Emma will rock the red carpet!

K A T E W I N S L E T

Kate Winslet is the definition of a Movie Star! She brings Hollywood glamour to every red carpet, it’s within her nature to do so. Her iconic style shines through in block, bold colours.

This year I’ve picked a mix of silhouettes but kept is simple with the colours. The Stella McCartney white gown is timeless and although not much skin is on show, the cutout back adds sex appeal. Statement earrings are a must with this gown, and as always a strong lip!

The Jenny Packham gown has a neckline that Kate has favoured in the past, by having the embellished neck details within the dress it allows for a more subtle hair and makeup- looking effortlessly striking.

Again the blue Reem Acra gown reveals Kate’s strong collar bone that she loves to show off on the red carpet! The ruffle detailing makes an understated statement.

My favourite for Kate is the Self-Portrait Gown, although it is slightly more covered than Kate normally goes on the red carpet, the slit in the skirt and the sheerness of the lace detailed top show enough skin for Kate to be sexy and mature. I love love love this dress!

G I U L I A N A R A N C I C

Giuliana always goes super glam and doesn’t hold back with her GIRL BOSS style! Whether she is interviewing on the red carpet or in front of the camera herself – she always brings glam.

With her tan skin she looks really great in metallic's and bold colours.

Although it is more typical to wear a full length gown to the Globes I think Giuliana would rock a shorter number! The one sleeve Saint Laurent mini dress is SO on trend for this year so Giuliana would be setting the bar high!

The Feretti Gown would also look killer with it’s cold-shoulder and super sexy split!

The Gucci gown and Roland Mouret are a more high fashion look but I think this is a great opportunity for Giuliana to take a risk and bring it in the Saint Laurent!
